Hundreds of credit courses and several complete degree programs are offered fully online through RutgersOnline, the virtual campus at Rutgers University. RutgersOnline extends the services and reach of the University, providing students with the opportunity to telecommute to campus from virtually anywhere. In addition, many fully online noncredit certificate programs are also available for professional development.

RutgersOnline students will benefit from some of Rutgers most distinguished faculty members through online courses that are equivalent to face-to-face courses offered on and off campus. Many different courses are available online each semester. For the most current listing of courses, consult on the Online Schedule of Classes. Currently, it is NOT possible to complete an undergraduate degree fully online through RutgersOnline.

Nearly all of the RutgersOnline courses are designed primarily as asynchronous learning experiences, which means you can work on these classes at the times that are convenient to you. The classes are highly interactive and there is a significant discussion component to them, which is why class size is limited. All courses listed are equivalent to regular in-class graduate and undergraduate level courses, except that students won't have to spend time commuting to class!
